Sarah Braswell
Owner

LMT, Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, Doula Trainer/Mentor, CYT500,
IAIM Infant Massage Instructor, CLT

With more than 21 years of professional experience in birth and manual therapy, Sarah‘s passion for women's wellness, pregnancy, and birth began at an early age. The oldest of 5 children, she would attend the prenatal appointments for her siblings, revel over her mother’s growing belly, and repeatedly watch the birth videos captured by her father on his home video camera. The seed had been planted.

During Sarah’s first pregnancy in 2000, she began to attend doula and midwifery workshops with The Farm Midwives and had the pleasure of learning from Ina May Gaskin among other brilliant midwives and herbalists. In 2003, Sarah attended the Natural Health Institute in Nashville, TN for massage therapy with a focus on prenatal massage and was also certified as an Infant Massage Instructor. She studied at The Matrona under midwife Whapio Bartlett in Asheville, NC for certification as a Holistic Doula, and later completed her Yoga Teacher Certification through Sanctuary Yoga in Nashville. She is also certified in Assisted Lymphatic Therapy.

Using combined methods and modalities of bodywork/massage therapy and movement inspired by Spinning Babies and other result-oriented birth and body prep techniques, her approach is intentional, intuitive, honest and effective.

Sarah is a wife and a mother of five, ranging in ages from 7-23 years old. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature, cooking, live music and gathering with loved ones. Her greatest joys are her family, friends, and her loyal dog, Willa.
